Dear Colleagues and Patients,
On March 19th, California Governor Gavin Newsom proclaimed a statewide shelter-in-place order for all residents, restricting non-essential movements to control the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The state's order allows for exemptions for essential needs such as medical care and healthcare-related operations. Following strict guidelines of national and state regulatory agencies, Facial & Oral Surgery Institute (FOSI) will remain open to our patients, referring dentists, and physicians by providing essential treatments ONLY on an emergency basis. Each case is evaluated and addressed separately while considering multiple risk factors including nature of the emergency, previous medical history, presence of medical comorbidities, and indications for immediate versus delayed treatment.
Following Governor Newsom's order, Facial & Oral Surgery Institute (FOSI) has reinforced and increased precautionary measures designed to protect the health and well being of its patients, employees, and their communities. These include the enforcement of screening protocols for all our patients and employees on a daily basis, social distancing of at least 6 feet of space between each individual, as well as strict disinfecting routines throughout its premises. Non-essential visits are suspended, and meetings or discussions will take place via phone or online communication platforms.
The state order, which took effect immediately, will remain in place until further notice. Facial & Oral Surgery Institute (FOSI) will continue to abide by this and any future orders or recommendations imposed by local, state, and national health officials. We intend to keep you informed at https://fosinstitute.com, Facebook, Twitter, and through email correspondence of the most recent updates. Please contact our office if there are any questions or concerns regarding FOSI emergency treatment protocol.
We are in this together, and we will win. Thank you for your continued support of our efforts and the efforts of our referring healthcare providers who provide vital services for their patients and communities during this challenging period.
Sincerely,
Dr. Navid Senehi, DDS. MD.
Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
